There have been a number of prominent Nigerian young celebrities who died just as they were breaking into the spotlight.
It's a bad they didn't get to enjoy the fame and fortune they worked so hard for. The following celebrities are among them.
1. Okwy Chukwujekwu
Chukwujekwu, also known as Main Bossman, is said to have slumped and died on the set of a movie in Anambra State. He was asthmatic, according to rumors.
He appeared in and played in various Nollywood films before his demise in early September 2017. Many Nollywood artists, including Odira, said his passing was a huge loss for the business.
2. Bisi Komolafe
According to P.M.NEWS, the legendary actress grew ill three months before her death after losing her pregnancy. She died of pregnancy-related issues at the University Teaching Hospital in Ibadan, according to medical sources.
3. Goldie
Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey, often known as Goldie, was a past housemate on Big Brother Africa. She is an industrious girl who tries everything she can to make ends meet, unlike many other females who rely on their relatives to live comfortably.
Goldie was unfortunately taken by the icy hands of death. She had complained of a strong headache shortly after returning to Nigeria from the United States, where she had attended the Grammy Awards in the music industry, according to her record company. She was brought to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Nigerian pop singer died of 'hypertensive heart disease,' according to an autopsy done by the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.
4. Nelson Gold
The young, gifted actor was well-known for his portrayal of a royal prince. He was said to have slumped while filming a movie in Enugu. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Doctors tried everything they could to resuscitate him, but it was in vain. On the 15th of June 2018, he was declared deceased.
