Fresh Graduate Commits Suicide Over Carryover Scare

 

Oshokoya Deborah Ayomikun, a recent graduate of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) in Ijagun, Ogun State, has reportedly committed suicide.

The Adult Education graduate, who had just completed her final year examinations, is said to have died after ingesting a toxic chemical that was suspected to be snipper.

Though specifics of the occurrence were still vague at the time of submitting this report, it was learned that she supposedly killed herself over the possibility of an extra year owing to a carryover in one of her final year classes.

On Wednesday, August 11, TASUED SUG President Comr Rabiu Sodiq confirmed the occurrence and warned students not to take such dramatic measures no matter what problems life throws their way.

"It's reasonable when life throws us a lot of challenges. We can become discouraged, frustrated, and sad at times. The truth is that life's difficulties are unavoidable, and because every problem has a solution, this, too, will pass. Please do not perish "he penned

"Just cancel the expedition if you start thinking about suicide! Suicide not only puts an end to your dreams, but it also puts an end to the dreams of those who are close to you. Suicide is not an option "He Added''.
