SARS Operative Shoots Girlfriend For Refusing His Marriage Proposal

James Eno, a former operator of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, is believed to be on the run after allegedly shooting his girlfriend, Emenaza Purity, in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, over her unwillingness to marry him.

According to reports, the suspect shot the victim in the chest in their home on October 28.

The woman is already wearing two oxygen masks and is fighting for her life.

Purity is alleged to have found after five years in the relationship that the suspect is married with a child she is unaware of, according to the Daily Post.

However, the defendant, who goes by the nickname "Bishop," approached the victim's family and demanded that he be reimbursed for all of the money he had spent on her during the previous five years of their relationship.

Purity's family is said to have asked for an extension until Tuesday next week to raise the funds.

They agreed after the suspect estimated the amount at fifteen million naira.

Israel Joe, a human rights campaigner, issued a statement condemning the former SARS agent's heinous behavior.
