Abdullahi Adamu, a 28-year-old male, has been remanded in detention in Adamawa State for allegedly rap'ing a five-year-old nursery 3 schoolgirl (name withheld).
The culprit allegedly lured the minor inside an unfinished structure in Mubi, in the Mubi North Local Government Area of the State, where he rap'ed her, according to reports.
Adamu reportedly took advantage of her as she was returning home from school at Anguwan Madina, which is close to Adamu's house in Mubi town. He allegedly used a N20 biscuit to get her into the hideout and then raped her.
“I asked her to come with me to a nearby shop to pick a biscuit and she obliged me, after which I took her into the uncompleted building,” Adamu said
When a nosy neighbor saw him departing the building with a minor, he suspected him and contacted other neighbors, which led to his arrest. The victim was subsequently transferred to the Mubi General Hospital, where she was checked and it was discovered that Adamu had penetrated.
Adamu appeared in Chief Magistrate Court II, where the court, Magistrate Hamidu Aminu, ordered that he be detained in detention.
