Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has disclosed that some people made fun of him when he lost his biological son in 2021.
Adeboye said that God carried him at the most difficult time of his life in May 2021 following the death of his 42-year-old son, Dare, during his sermon on the theme of "Born Free" at the church's 70th Annual Convention, which is now taking place.
The cleric stated that God carries his children who make themselves available. He said;
“Some of you have heard this before: when I was in the saddest period of my life, with so many questions and I know that even in my deep sorrow some people were still laughing at me, I got a text from one of my daughters.
All she said was: ‘Daddy, let God carry you’. And that put an end to any problem; it ended my sorrows. It renewed my faith.”
On May 4, 2021, Dare, Pastor Adeboye's third child, passed away in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he and his family were residing. The deceased, who was married to Temiloluwa, was the father of three girls and, before to his passing, served as the assistant pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35.
