"Why I Hide From Women" - 71-year-old Man Virgin Reveals

A man who avoided women for 55 years by barricading himself within his home managed to remain a virgin until he was 71 years old.

In Rwanda, Callitxe Nzamwita fenced up his house with a fifteen-foot fence to keep ladies and the general public away from him.

The 71-year-old said the reason for his seclusion was that he was "really scared" of women approaching his house.

Despite his fear, it is local women who are keeping the man alive and helping him survive. They get his groceries for him but he does not let the women anywhere close to him.

He stated: "The reason I locked myself inside here and have a fence on my house is because I want to make sure that women will not come closer to me."

An unnamed local added: "Strangely, even though he fears women, we are the ones who help him get food and some things he needs. When you try to help him, he doesn't want us to come close or talk to him.

"Instead, we give him things by tossing them into his house, and then he comes and picks them up. He doesn't let us get close to him, but he still takes what we offer from a distance."

Callitxe enters the house and locks the door behind him the moment he sees a woman.

It is thought that the virgin has gynophobia, an unreasonable fear of women.

It is possible to have symptoms only by thinking about ladies. Potential symptoms include panic attacks, chest tightness, excessive perspiration, a fast heartbeat, and breathing difficulties.

Other signs of gynophobia include feeling lightheaded and experiencing stomach problems when among people of the opposite sex.

Even with their regular assistance, the village's women are unable to have a conversation with Callitxe, who hides away from them.
