A man lost his life after being fatally stabbed by his neighbor in Ogun State.
Shuttle bus driver Philip Fiama, who resided in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State in Sobande Close, Alagbole, Ajuwon, was allegedly stabbed to de;a;th on Sunday, January 7, at around 6.30 p.m., after confronting a neighbor, Ikem Emmanuel, over a claim that he had slept with his wife.
Adamawa State native Fiama allegedly accused Emmanuel of having an affair with his wife. Punch claims that this sparked a confrontation in which Emmanuel fatally stabbed the victim.
Fiama passed away on getting to a hospital whilst Emmanuel ran away.
The de';ath was verified by SP Omolola Odutola, the Ogun State Police Command spokesman.
Punch was informed by Odutola that the incident occurred on Sunday, January 7. Around 8:00 p.m. on that day, a landlord from Sobande Close, Alagbole, Ajuwon, arrived to tell that a tenant named Philip Fiama had accused another tenant, Ikem Emmanuel, of having se;;x with his wife.
“This was reported to have led to a fight when Ikem Emmanuel stabbed Fiama in the chest. The deceased was said to have been confirmed de;a'd in one Tamara Hospital.
“The suspect has escaped to an unknown destination, and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Ogun State Police Command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, for discreet investigation. The police are also on the trail of the fleeing suspect.”
