A Nigerian soldier responded in response to the widely shared footage of the Lagos State Governor detaining his colleague.

The soldier known on Tiktok as General Salawu frowned at the governor in a now-viral video for calling the soldier a "useless boy." In front of "bloody civilians," he claimed, the governor had no right to speak to the soldier as such.
He continued by saying that the governor would not have taken any action if the soldier had been driving near his barracks and had refused to be taken into custody.
