"I Don't Regret Campaigning For Buhari" - Jide Kosoko

Jide Kosoko, a veteran actor, has stated that he has no regrets campaigning for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.

In an interview with Premiumtimes, Kosoko stated that while he is dissatisfied with some of the actions of President Buhari but can't say the President is totally bad.

"So many factors have contributed to our current predicament." I can't speak for the government, but I can't claim Buhari's administration is perfect. I've never said it before, and I probably won't say it again, but I'm disappointed in some of his behaviors. I despise situations in which the APC government constantly reminds us of how horrible things have been since the PDP took control.

We were all aware of that before you decided to join us, but assuming power implies that you have a solution to the problems, therefore that is my concern. I wanted to believe Buhari when he said that discipline is his motto, but he should realize that achieving a corrupt-free society will be fraught with opposition.

It's like if your dog eats a bone and you want to gather it; it's a tug of war. I believe him, and I feel Buhari is not corrupt, but there are still a lot of issues. This indicates that immediate action must be made to put a halt to those things."

When asked if he has any regrets about advocating for the President, Kosoko replied, "I have no regrets."

"I'll never be able to." I'll question you, as well as all the Nigerian kids who are going up and down, saying various things. Allow them to show us who to follow; do you know who will succeed?

Professor Wole Soyinka was named the FRSC's founding Corps Marshall, but he rushed away because he couldn't bear it. So, if you can confirm to me that Jide Kosoko is the finest candidate to lead us, I will follow you. But no one knows; we're all learning through trial and error," he explained.
