Andrew Nice Omininikoron, an arrested BRT driver, was filmed giving a statement that contradicts his prior statements regarding what occurred to Oluwabamise Toyosi Ayanwole.
Andrew stated in a statement aired on Monday, March 7, that he picked up 22-year-old Bamise at Chevron Lekki and then three other young males.
During the journey, he claimed the guys showed him a weapon and told him to park on Carter Bridge. They then descended, pulling Bamise along behind them.
He claimed that he was too afraid to help and that he couldn't do much.
When questioned why he didn't report the event right away, he couldn't come up with a cogent response.
Now, a video has surfaced of Andrew's first interview after his arrest.
He made no mention of three armed guys in it.
In the footage, he claims Bamise flung herself off the moving bus.
He went on to say that her actions were a result of his "dirty acts."
Andrew said: "She forced herself out of the back door.
"She was crying for help, and everything was recorded.
"Because of the dirty acts I've done... I'm afraid."
Andrew Nice Omininikoron is the driver of the BRT bus that 22-year-old Toyosi Ayanwole boarded before she was found dead.
Bamise had sent videos and voice notes to friends to express concern about her safety while going home in the state-owned bus driven by Andrew.
