Funke Akindele Bello, the box office queen of Nollywood, has been named among the top Nollywood artists to be recognized by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu on International Women's Day 2022.
Governor Sanwo Olu honored Nollywood actors Adunni Ade, Adebimpe Oyebade, and Toyin Abraham, Mo Abudu, and Nse Npe Etim. At the same time, actress Ruth Kadiri was ignored again.
Funke Akindele expressed her gratitude for the award on Instagram, thanking the state governor for the honor.
