The passing of Taiwo Odukoya, Senior Pastor of the Lagos-based Fountain of Life Church, has shocked the spiritual world. On Tuesday, August 8, 2023, the church made a formal announcement on its social media channels to share the tragic news.
According to the announcement, Pastor Odukoya passed away on the 7th of August, 2023, while in the USA. He was 67 years old.
The respected pastor is honored in the statement by the Fountain of Life Family, who refer to him as "our Father, our Teacher, a great servant of the Most High God." The statement further reads, "We are in total submission to you Lord!!! We thank the Lord for the gift of a great leader."
Tragedy had previously struck the Odukoya family when Pastor Odukoya's late wife, Nomthi, passed away on November 9, 2021, following a valiant two-year battle with cancer. The couple had been married for 11 years and were parents to two sons.
After losing his first wife, Bimbo, in the tragic Sosoliso aircraft tragedy in 2005, which happened in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya's path through life was characterized by great sadness.
