Mohbad's Dea''th: Court Sends Nurse and Mohbad's Friend Back To Police Custody

 

  

The Yaba Lagos State Magistrates' Court remanded the auxiliary nurse, who had been detained by the police in relation to the contentious de''ath of hip-hop musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

The late musician allegedly received injections from 37-year-old nurse Fisayo Ogedengbe, which caused his demise.

Ayobani Sadiq, a friend of Mohbad's who is also being detained as a suspect in the case, was also ordered to be returned to police custody by the magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun.

However, Mohbad's ex-boss Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and a Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, who were also charged with Mohbad's murder and placed into police custody on October 6, were each granted the sum of  N20 million in bail by the court.

The defendants (Naira Marley and Sam Larry) are thus granted bail in the amount of N20 million with three responsible sureties in like sum, awaiting the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution's legal advice," the magistrate said.

“Also, one of the sureties must own a landed property. As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.”

Olatunbosun cautioned against direct communication over the case.

She said, "Any attempt to get in touch with me directly would be monitored and possibly revealed in public court proceedings."

According to the police, the investigation on the case is still ongoing, hence Olatunbosun adjourned the case till November 29 for DPP advice.
