Two sticks of burning incense were allegedly put next to his feet—possibly as a kind of torture, according to a Facebook user.
According to reports, the man broke into the property and took litchis from several trees.
The homeowner and his family comfronted him, tying him to a tree and beating him with rods and sjamboks.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered that the guy had sustained serious injuries. Then the handcuffs were taken off.
The homeowner did not desire a criminal case of theft and the suspect was not detained.
The wounded guy chose to leave the interview without filing a report of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH).
He turned down further medical care.
