Real Madrid has made a £137 million (€160 million) approach for Paris Saint-Kylian Germain's Mbappe.
The offer was apparently made on August 21 by the La Liga giants, and Paris Saint-Germain has yet to answer.
Mbappe's contract at PSG expires next summer, and he has so far refused to sign a new one, despite PSG's best efforts to persuade him to commit his future to the club.
The 22-year-old has told PSG that his ambition is to play for Real Madrid, who have been linked with a summer deal for the World Cup winner.
PSG has won 11 major domestic trophies, including three Ligue 1 titles, thanks to Mbappe's 133 goals and 63 assists in 174 appearances across all competitions.
In 2017, he joined on a season-long loan from Monaco before being signed permanently for £165.7 million a year later.
It was previously reported that Mbappe will join Real Madrid, while Cristiano Ronaldo would join PSG from Juventus.
Ronaldo's contract expires next summer, and while he has not informed Juventus of his desire to leave, the Serie A club would not stand in his way if another team made a move for him.
