Ronaldo Earns £388,000 From Fake Instagram Followers

According to a recent study, Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has the largest amount of fake Instagram followers.

On each sponsored Instagram post, the 37-year-old superstar is predicted to make £388,000 from fake followers.

New research compiled by livefootballtickets.com shows that when it comes to fake followers, Ronaldo comes out top, ahead of Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Ronaldo just became the first person on the social media platform to reach 400 million followers, with a total of 403 million.

The study employed the Instagram credibility tool grin.co to determine how many fake followers each player has, as well as the social media earnings calculator inkifi.com.

Ronaldo came out on top in the standings with 92.46million fake followers, which accounts for 23% of his total following.

He is estimated to earn £388,570 every sponsored post via fake followers, for a total of £1.69 million per sponsored post.

The 37-year-old makes 35.3 percent more every post from fake followers than Lionel Messi, who earns an estimated £287,210 per post from fake followers.
