The Moment A Footballer Got Struck and Ki''lled By Lightning While Playing A Match [Video]

 
 

A football player passed away after getting struck by a lightning bolt while playing football in Indonesia.

The horrifying moment the 35-year-old male Subang victim slumped at Siliwangi Stadium in Bandung, West Java, on Saturday afternoon, February 10, was captured on terrifying video.

Around 4:20 p.m. local time, Septain Raharja, a football player, was struck by lightning when he was participating in a friendly game between FBI Subang and 2 FLO FC Bandung.  

 

 

 

He was taken to a nearby hospital while still alive, according to PRFM News, the local media. However, he passed away from severe burns. 


An analysis of the strike by Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) revealed that the cloud the lightning came from was just 300m above the stadium when it struck.


The tragic incident is the second time an Indonesian footballer has been struck by lightning in the last 12 months.


After going into cardiac arrest, the player was quickly removed from the field and brought to the Ibnu Sina Hospital in Bojonegoro to receive medical attention.


With medical intervention, the child was successfully revived, and after about twenty minutes, he or she became conscious again.
