Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has addressed her recent viral proposal video with her boyfriend, Xxssive, clarifying that it was not real.

A video of comedian Xxssive asking the question to his long-term partner, Nkechi, went viral online yesterday. He was seen blowing her a kiss and placing a ring on her finger in the video, which caused a lot of people to react.

Reacting to the buzz, Nkechi took to her Instagram story to question the pressure from online commentators urging people to marry their best friends. She later revealed that the proposal was staged and part of her work as an event planner. Nkechi explained that the event venue was a contract job, making it her first engagement event as a professional planner.

As she reflected on the benefits of 2024, Nkechi highlighted her accomplishments in spite of rumors and criticism and thanked God for the opportunities that came her way.
