7-year-old Girl Raises N1.7m To Get Lunch For Her Less-privileged Classmates

Emauni Jeanise Manley, a little schoolgirl, is being praised for raising almost $4,300 (N1.7 million) in cash to pay for the lunches of her classmates who couldn't afford them.

She carried out the act as a 7-year-old second-grader in Charles County, Maryland in the United States of America.
According to NBC, the young girl noted that several of her classmates were just eating cheese sandwiches for lunch.
After learning that some of her classmates couldn't afford lunch, Jeanise teamed up with her mother, Rosalynd Manley.
She talked to her mother, who is also a teacher at her school, and together they were able to raise money on Facebook to help poorer kids at her school who couldn't afford to pay for lunch.
Their initiative received support from hundreds of people who donated money towards their project.
Expectations were exceeded. Total News 24 claims that the duo set a goal of raising $800 (N330k) but ended up raising almost $4,300 (N1,7M) in less than a week.
Manley became an author at the age of five. She's also a model and entrepreneur, with her own clothing brand, EmauniJ Collection, which she designed herself.
