“I don't think I'll be able to cope without my daughter.” I spoke something to David in hushed tones.
“Without her, I'd become lonely...”
I wiped
a tear from my cheek. “I haven't found anyone better than her; she's my one and
only.” A father, a mother, a husband, a daughter, and a pal… She's all I've
had, the single source of joy in my life.
“C'mon,
stop talking like that, she'd be fine,” He said. Besides, for you, I'm her.”
David wiped away my tears with a handkerchief. I averted my gaze.
“I'm trying
to believe she's fine; it's just that...” I believe she is in danger.” I said
to him, hugging the photo of Eniola.
His
phone rang at that very moment.
“Hello?”
David stated his opinion. He paused for a moment, listening intently.
“All
right, Inspector, I'll be on my way right away.
Yes, I'd
be there in 15 minutes.”
“My
attention is required at the police station.” “You don't have to come along;
all you have to do is rest.”
Okay?” He
gave me a curious look.
I gave a
brief nod.
He
looked into my eyes for a long time.
“Please
don't make any amusing remarks while I'm away.” Is that all right? Or would you
like to join us?” he added.
“Oh no,
don't worry, I'll be fine.” I was dressed in a smile made of plastic.
“Just be
careful.” he paused.
“Bye!
Now is the time to leave!” I pushed him out the door.
I
promptly penned a message to myself, read my Bible, and went about my business before
I prayed to God for forgiveness
I'm
commencing my mission to get out of the compound, I snuck out.
I moved
quickly, pausing to look around at regular intervals to see if someone could
notice me.
Thankfully,
the pond was only a few meters away. I'd drown if I wasn't an excellent
swimmer.
I'd like to die quietly and then wake up in Heaven or after a few moments, hell!!!
